13-14 April at The Old School Room, Haworth from 10 – 4 pm

H&YC launch their exciting workshop series this weekend; Blossomdale studio will be selling her stunning macrame items, but also offering 60 mins workshop classes to the general public, who are keen to learn how to make their own macrame products from keychains, wall-hangings to candle holders and half mandala (all equipment is provided) and a goody bag with a printed manual is gifted after the session to help you complete the project and/or create new items at home.

The workshop fee is £20 per person – over 18s only.

Come and learn the art of macrame. You will learn some different knots so you can make at least 2 lovely keychains.

We use the best macrame cord we can source.

You will soon be able to adapt your new skills to make different gifts.

Classes are on Tuesday evening 6.00 – 7.30, starting on 21st November 2023

Description: Come and make a macrame oil diffuser air freshener. Zsuzsanna will provide information on macrame cords and ropes whilst you unpack the kit provided which include cords cut to length, a wooden dowel and booklet with plenty of pictures to help. You will learn 2 basic macrame knots (lark heads knot and double half hitch knot) which you will practice as you make the air freshener. Zsuzsanna will demonstrate and explain each knot step by step. By the end of the workshop you will be well on the way to finishing your project, which if necessary can be finished at home following the comprehensive booklet provided. Zsuzsanna will also provide some details on how to apply essential oils to add scent to your piece (nb essential oils are not provided) for beginners, new to macrame. NB: This is an Early Morning class that starts before the show opens, so when finished you will be in the venue and avoid queuing!

You will learn 3 basic macrame knots (lark heads knot, square knot and gathering knot) which you will practice as you make the wristband. Zsuzsanna will demonstrate and explain each knot step by step. By the end of the workshop you will be well on the way to finishing your project, which if necessary can be finished at home following the comprehensive booklet provided. Zsuzsanna will also provide some details on how to maintain your wristband. Suitable for beginners, new to macrame.
